Program Description:

This webinar enhances the ability of participants to recognize potential problem commercial loans and commercial real estate loans: review the credit, operational and managerial risks associated with problem loans: and provide a format and procedure to work with problem credits. Discussion includes how lender errors in loan structure and loan monitoring create problem loans. Identifying business climate risks associated with lending relationships will also be discussed.

This 2-Hour Webinar Covers:

  • Recognize that problem loans are a part of the commercial loan process
  • Formulate action plans to reduce risk and minimize bank losses
  • Identify early warning signs
  • Discuss liquidation and, if an option, proper restructuring of the problem loan

Presenter:

Mark Tyrpin is a senior vice-president for a large Midwestern Community Bank.  He has over 18 years of banking experience including commercial lending, commercial real estate lending, and loan rehabilitation and workouts.  Prior to that, Mark was an investment banker for five years, specializing in municipal finance and trading.  Mark teaches economics classes at area community colleges and conducts seminars on lending throughout the Midwest.
